FARM PRODUCTS AGENCIES ACT
Whereas the Governor in Council has, by the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers Proclamation footnote a, established the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers (“the Agency”) under subsection 16(1)footnote b of the Farm Products Agencies Act footnote c;
Whereas the Agency has been empowered to implement a marketing plan under that Proclamation;
Whereas, under section 6footnote d of the schedule to that Proclamation, the Agency has applied the allocation system set out in Schedule “B” annexed to the Federal Provincial Agreement for Broiler Hatching Eggs;
Whereas the proposed Regulations Amending the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers Quota Regulations are regulations of a class to which paragraph 7(1)(d)footnote e of that Act applies, by reason of section 2 of the Agencies’ Orders and Regulations Approval Order footnote f, and have been submitted to the National Farm Products Council under paragraph 22(1)(f) of that Act;
And whereas, under paragraph 7(1)(d)footnote e of that Act, the National Farm Products Council has approved the proposed Regulations after being satisfied that they are necessary for the implementation of the marketing plan that the Agency is authorized to implement;
Therefore, the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers Quota Regulations under paragraph 22(1)(f) of the Farm Products Agencies Act footnote c and subsection 5(1) of the schedule to the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers Proclamation footnote a.

Amendments
1 (1) The schedule to the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers Quota Regulations footnote 1 is replaced by the schedule set out in Schedule 1 to these Regulations.
(2) The schedule to the Regulations is replaced by the schedule set out in Schedule 2 to these Regulations.
Coming into Force
2 (1) These Regulations, except subsection 1(2), come into force on the day on which they are registered.
(2) Subsection 1(2) comes into force on January 1, 2024.
