FARM PRODUCTS AGENCIES ACT
Whereas the Governor in Council has, by the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers Proclamation footnote a, established the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers (“the Agency”) pursuant to subsection 16(1) footnote b of the Farm Products Agencies Act footnote c;
Whereas that Agency has been empowered to implement a marketing plan pursuant to that Proclamation;
Whereas the proposed Order Amending the Canadian Broiler Hatching Egg Marketing Levies Order is an order of a class to which paragraph 7(1)(d) footnote d of that Act applies by reason of section 2 of the Agencies' Orders and Regulations Approval Order footnote e, and has been submitted to the National Farm Products Council pursuant to paragraph 22(1)(f) of that Act;
And whereas, pursuant to paragraph 7(1)(d)footnote d of that Act, the National Farm Products Council has approved the proposed Order after being satisfied that it is necessary for the implementation of the marketing plan that that Agency is authorized to implement;
Therefore, the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers, pursuant to paragraphs 22(1)(f) and (g) footnote f of the Farm Products Agencies Act footnote c and section 8 of the schedule to the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers Proclamation footnote a, makes the annexed Order Amending the Canadian Broiler Hatching Egg Marketing Levies Order.

Order Amending the Canadian Broiler Hatching Egg Marketing Levies Order
Amendments
1 (1) Paragraph 2(1)(d) of the Canadian Broiler Hatching Egg Marketing Levies Order footnote 1 is replaced by the following:
- (d) in the Province of British Columbia, $0.021000;
(2) Subsections 2(2) and (3) of the Order are replaced by the following:
(2) A levy is imposed on a producer, dealer or hatchery operator in a non-signatory province of $0.013687 per broiler hatching egg produced in any non-signatory province and marketed by that producer, dealer or hatchery operator in interprovincial trade into a signatory province.
(3) Subsections (1) and (2) cease to have effect on June 23, 2022.
Coming into Force
2 This Order comes into force on June 19, 2021, but if it is registered after that day, it comes into force on the day on which it is registered.

(This note is not part of the Order.)
The amendments establish the revised 2021 limits and initial 2022 limits for broiler hatching eggs in the signatory provinces.
