Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 4 of the Poverty Reduction Act ^{footnote a}, designates the Minister of Employment and Social Development, who is a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, to be the Minister for the purposes of that Act.
