EXPORT AND IMPORT PERMITS ACT

Whereas, by Order in Council 2018-1273 dated October 10, 2018, the Governor in Council made the Order Imposing a Surtax on the Importation of Certain Steel Goods;

And whereas, for the purpose of facilitating the implementation of that Order, the Governor in Council considers it necessary to control the importation of the goods of a class described in that Order;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, pursuant to subsection 5(6) ^{footnote a} and section 6 ^{footnote b} of the Export and Import Permits Act ^{footnote c}, makes the annexed Order Amending the Import Control List.

• (a) are not referred to in subsections 2(2) to (4) of the Order Imposing a Surtax on the Importation of Certain Steel Goods made on October 10, 2018; and
• (b) are not imported in a quantity that exceeds the applicable limit established under that Order.

Coming into Force

2 This Order comes into force on the day on which the Order Imposing a Surtax on the Importation of Certain Steel Goods comes into force.
