FARM PRODUCTS AGENCIES ACT
Regulations Amending the Canadian Chicken Licensing Regulations
Whereas the Governor in Council has, by the Chicken Farmers of Canada Proclamation (see footnote a), established Chicken Farmers of Canada (“CFC”) pursuant to subsection 16(1) (see footnote b) of the Farm Products Agencies Act (see footnote c);
And whereas CFC has been empowered to implement a marketing plan pursuant to that Proclamation;
Therefore, Chicken Farmers of Canada, pursuant to paragraphs 22(1)(f) and (g) (see footnote d) of the Farm Products Agencies Act (see footnote e) and section 11 (see footnote f) of the schedule to the Chicken Farmers of Canada Proclamation (see footnote g), makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Canadian Chicken Licensing Regulations.

Regulations Amending the Canadian Chicken Licensing Regulations
Amendment
1 The definition producer-processor in section 1 of the Canadian Chicken Licensing Regulations (see footnote 1) is replaced by the following:
producer-processor means a person who raises, processes and otherwise markets chicken or offers for sale, sells or stores chicken produced and processed by that person. (producteur-transformateur)
Coming into Force
2 These Regulations come into force on the day on which they are registered.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations.)
This amendment amends the definition of producer-processor in the Regulations.
