P.C. 2014-1130 October 23, 2014
His Excellency the Governor General in Council, considering that the collection of the tax is unjust, on the recommendation of the Minister of National Revenue, pursuant to subsection 23(2) (see footnote a) of the Financial Administration Act (see footnote b), remits tax in the amount of $1,490.97 and $860.91, and all relevant interest on it, paid or payable under Part I of the Income Tax Act (see footnote c) by Frederick Beaulieu for the 2005 and 2006 taxation years, respectively.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order.)
The Order remits a portion of the income tax, and all relevant interest on it, paid or payable by Frederick Beaulieu for the 2005 and 2006 taxation years.
The amount remitted represents the additional tax incurred by Mr. Beaulieu as a result of circumstances that were not within his control. The payment of this amount caused a financial setback for Mr. Beaulieu.
