CONFLICT OF INTEREST ACT
Order Designating Public Office Holders and Reporting Public Office Holders under Section 62.2 of the Conflict of Interest Act

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 62.2 (see footnote a) of the Conflict of Interest Act (see footnote b), makes the annexed Order Designating Public Office Holders and Reporting Public Office Holders under Section 62.2 of the Conflict of Interest Act.
ORDER DESIGNATING PUBLIC OFFICE HOLDERS AND REPORTING PUBLIC OFFICE HOLDERS UNDER SECTION 62.2 OF THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST ACT
INTERPRETATION
Definition of “Act”
1. In this Order, “Act” means the Conflict of Interest Act.
DESIGNATIONS
Public office holders
2. For the purpose of paragraph (e) of the definition “public office holder” in subsection 2(1) of the Act, the following persons are designated as public office holders:
- (a) the Governor and the Deputy Governor appointed under subsection 6(1) of the Bank of Canada Act;
- (b) the Directors appointed under subsection 23(1) of the Museums Act;
- (c) the Chief Executive Officer appointed under section 17 of the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse Act;
- (d) the President appointed under subsection 6(1) of the National Arts Centre Act; and
- (e) the chief executive officers appointed under subsection 13(1.1) of the Pilotage Act.
Reporting public office holders
3. For the purpose of paragraph (f) of the definition “reporting public office holder” in subsection 2(1) of the Act, the following persons are designated as reporting public office holders:
- (a) persons who, under section 2, are public office holders as defined in subsection 2(1) of the Act and exercise their official duties and functions on a part-time basis but receive an annual salary and benefits; and
- (b) persons who, under section 2, are public office holders as defined in subsection 2(1) of the Act and exercise their official duties and functions on a full-time basis.
COMING INTO FORCE
30 days after registration
4. This Order comes into force 30 days after the day on which it is registered.
