FIRST WEST CREDIT UNION

LETTERS PATENT OF INCORPORATION

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 25(2) of the Bank Act (Canada), that First West Credit Union intends to file with the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, on or after March 26, 2023, an application for the Minister of Finance to issue letters patent continuing First West Credit Union as a federal credit union under the Bank Act (Canada) under the name First West Federal Credit Union to carry on the business of banking in Canada.

First West Federal Credit Union’s head office will be located in Langley, British Columbia. First West Federal Credit Union intends to offer a full range of financial services to individuals and businesses.

Any person who objects to the proposed continuance may submit an objection in writing to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, 255 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0H2, on or before April 24, 2023.

Note: The publication of this notice should not be construed as evidence of the issue of letters patent continuing the federal credit union. The granting of letters patent will be dependent upon the normal application review process under the Bank Act (Canada) and the discretion of the Minister of Finance.

SUPREME COUNCIL OF THE ROYAL ARCANUM

RELEASE OF ASSETS

Pursuant to section 651 of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada) [the “Act”], notice is hereby given that the Supreme Council of the Royal Arcanum intends to apply to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada) on or after April 7, 2023, for an order authorizing the release of the assets that it maintains in Canada in accordance with the Act.

Any policyholder or creditor in respect of the Supreme Council of the Royal Arcanum’s insurance business in Canada opposing that release is invited to file an opposition by mail to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada), Regulatory Affairs​ Division, 255 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2, or by email at approvals-approbations@osfi-bsif.gc.ca, on or before April 7, 2023.
