Rescission of ministerial condition concerning carbonoperoxoic acid, O,O-(1,1-dimethylpropyl) O-(2-ethylhexyl) ester, CAS RN 70833-40-8
Rescission of ministerial conditions
(Section 84 of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999)
Whereas the Minister of the Environment has on July 10, 1999, pursuant to subsection 29(5) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999, permitted the manufacture or import of the substance carbonoperoxoic acid, O,O-(1,1-dimethylpropyl) O-(2-ethylhexyl) ester, Chemical Abstracts Service Registry No. 70833-40-8, subject to some conditions;
Whereas the Minister of the Environment and the Minister of Health have conducted a new assessment of the substance;
And whereas the ministers no longer suspect that the substance is toxic or capable of becoming toxic,
Therefore, the Minister of the Environment hereby rescinds the conditions on the manufacture or import of the substance carbonoperoxoic acid, O,O-(1,1-dimethylpropyl) O-(2-ethylhexyl) ester, Chemical Abstracts Service Registry No. 70833-40-8, pursuant to subsection 84(3) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999.

SPECIES AT RISK ACT
Description of critical habitat for the Sprague's Pipit and Swift Fox in the Prairie National Wildlife Area (unit number 11)
The Sprague's Pipit (Anthus spragueii) is a songbird listed as threatened on Schedule 1 of the Species at Risk Act and is a migratory bird protected under the Migratory Birds Convention Act, 1994. In Canada, the Sprague's Pipit breeds in southwest Manitoba, southern Saskatchewan and southern Alberta.
The Swift Fox (Vulpes velox) is also listed as threatened on Schedule 1 of the Species at Risk Act. In Canada, Swift Fox occur in the southernmost portion of Saskatchewan and Alberta, near the border of the two provinces.
The Action Plan for Multiple Species at Risk in Southwestern Saskatchewan: South of the Divide identifies the critical habitat for both the Sprague's Pipit and the Swift Fox in a number of areas, including within a federally protected area.
Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to subsection 58(2) of the Species at Risk Act, subsection 58(1) of that Act applies, 90 days after publication of this notice, to the critical habitat of the Spague's Pipit and Swift Fox — identified in the Action Plan for these species that is included on the Species at Risk Public Registry — and found within Prairie National Wildlife Area (unit number 11), described in Schedule 1 of the Wildlife Area Regulations made pursuant to the Canada Wildlife Act.
Interested parties are invited to contact Environment and Climate Change Canada by email at ec.protectionep-sarprotection.ec@canada.ca to request clarification regarding the location, biophysical attributes and protection of the critical habitat for these species. However, some details may be withheld to protect these species and their critical habitat.

The Chestnut-collared Longspur (Calcarius ornatus) is a songbird listed as threatened on Schedule 1 of the Species at Risk Act and is a migratory bird protected under the Migratory Birds Convention Act, 1994. In Canada, the Chestnut-collared Longspur breeds in grazed mixed-grass prairie in southeastern Alberta, southern Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba.
The Amended Recovery Strategy for the Chestnut-collared Longspur (Calcarius ornatus) in Canada identifies the critical habitat for the species in a number of areas, including within federally protected areas.

Notice No. SLPB-001-18 — Spectrum Licence Renewal Process for Advanced Wireless Services (AWS-1) and Other Spectrum in the 2 GHz Range
The intent of this notice is to announce the release of the document entitled Spectrum Licence Renewal Process for Advanced Wireless Services (AWS-1) and Other Spectrum in the 2 GHz Range, which sets out Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada's (ISED) decisions with respect to the licence renewal process for the following spectrum bands:
- (a) advanced wireless services 1710-1755 MHz/2110-2155 MHz (AWS-1);
- (b) personal communications services (PCS) extension bands 1910-1915 MHz/1990-1995 MHz (G Block); and
- (c) 1670-1675 MHz (I Block).
In particular, the document announces the decisions related to eligibility for renewal, licence terms, new deployment requirements, and other conditions of licence for the new licences.
This document is the result of the consultation process initiated through Notice No. SLPB-002-17, Consultation on a Licence Renewal Process for Advanced Wireless Services and Other Spectrum.
Questions regarding this licence renewal process may be sent to the Senior Director, Spectrum Licensing and Auction Operations.
