The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (the Tribunal) has received a complaint (File No. PR-2013-046) from StenoTran Services Inc., of Ottawa, Ontario, and Atchison & Denman Court Reporting Services Ltd., of Toronto, Ontario (the complainants), concerning a procurement (Solicitation No. CAS-13-036) by the Court Administration Services (CAS). The solicitation is for court reporting and transcription services. Pursuant to subsection 30.13(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act and subsection 7(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Procurement Inquiry Regulations, notice is hereby given that the Tribunal made a decision on March 21, 2014, to conduct an inquiry into the complaint.
The complainants allege that their bid was improperly evaluated by the CAS, that the CAS ignored certain criteria in the Request for Proposal when evaluating the bids received and that the resulting contract was improperly awarded.

Aluminum extrusions
Notice is hereby given that, on March 17, 2014, pursuant to paragraph 76.03(12)(b) of the Special Import Measures Act, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal continued its findings (Expiry Review No. RR-2013-003) in respect of aluminum extrusions produced via an extrusion process of alloys having metallic elements falling within the alloy designations published by The Aluminum Association commencing with 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 or 7 (or proprietary or other certifying body equivalents), with the finish being as extruded (mill), mechanical, anodized or painted or otherwise coated, whether or not worked, having a wall thickness greater than 0.5 mm, with a maximum weight per metre of 22 kg and a profile or cross-section which fits within a circle having a diameter of 254 mm, excluding the products described in the appendix attached to the order, originating in or exported from the People's Republic of China.

To be up to date on all ongoing proceedings, it is important to regularly consult “Today's Releases” on the Commission's Web site, which includes daily updates to notices of consultation that have been published and ongoing proceedings, as well as a link to Part 1 applications.
