Amendments to Schedule 2 of the Canada Elections Act
Pursuant to subsection 46(2) of the Canada Elections Act, S.C. 2000, c. 9, notice is given that Schedule 2 to the Act is amended by updating references to provincial and territorial acts, as follows:
- under the heading “Alberta”:
- 1. by changing the citation of the Vital Statistics Act by deleting “R.S.A. 2000, c. V-4” and replacing it with “S.A. 2007, c. V-4.1”;
- under the heading “Manitoba”
- 2. by adding “The Drivers and Vehicles Act, C.C.S.M. c. D104”;
- under the heading “Newfoundland and Labrador”
- 3. by changing the citation of the Vital Statistics Act by deleting “R.S.N.L. 1990, c. V-6” and replacing it with “S.N.L. 2009, c. V-6.01”;
- under the heading “Northwest Territories”
- 4. by changing the citation of the Vital Statistics Act by deleting “R.S.N.W.T. 1988, c. V-3” and replacing it with “S.W.N.T. 2011, c. 34”;
- under the heading “Nova Scotia”
- 5. by changing the citation of the Elections Act by deleting “R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 140” and replacing it with “S.N.S. 2011, c. 5”; and
- under the heading “Saskatchewan”
- 6. by changing the citation of The Vital Statistics Act by deleting “S.S. 1995, c. V-7.1” and replacing it with “S.S. 2009, c. V-7.21”.

Deregistration of a registered electoral district association
On application by the electoral district association, in accordance with subsection 403.2(1) of the Canada Elections Act, the “Fredericton Marijuana Party” association is deregistered, effective March 31, 2014.

Inflation adjustment factor
For the purposes of section 414 of the Canada Elections Act, S.C. 2000, c. 9, the inflation adjustment factor for the one-year period beginning April 1, 2014, is
108.6
This inflation adjustment factor is used in the calculation of the election expense limits for registered parties and candidates, as well as the election advertising limits for third parties.

Inflation adjustment factor
For the purposes of section 405.1 of the Canada Elections Act, S.C. 2000, c. 9, the inflation adjustment for the one-year period beginning April 1, 2014, is

Contribution limits adjustment
Pursuant to section 405.1 of the Canada Elections Act, S.C. 2000, c. 9, I hereby determine the contribution limits, rounded to the nearest hundred dollars:
- 1. In accordance with paragraph 405.1(2)(a), during the calendar year that commences between April 1, 2014, and March 31, 2015:
- Pursuant to paragraph 405(1)(a), $1,200; and
- Pursuant to paragraph 405(1)(a.1), $1,200.
- 2. In accordance with paragraph 405.1(2)(b), with respect to an election whose writ is issued between April 1, 2014, and March 31, 2015:
- Pursuant to paragraph 405(1)(b), $1,200.
- 3. In accordance with paragraph 405.1(2)(c), with respect to a leadership contest that begins between April 1, 2014, and March 31, 2015:
- Pursuant to paragraph 405(1)(c), $1,200.
