Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, considering that the collection of the tax is unjust, on the recommendation of the Minister of National Revenue, pursuant to subsection 23(2) ^{footnote a} of the Financial Administration Act ^{footnote b}, remits tax in the amount of $13,472.21, payable under Part IX of the Excise Tax Act ^{footnote c} by Smart Net Systems Ltd. for the period beginning on February 1, 2010 and ending on April 30, 2011.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order remits tax in the amount of $13,472.21, representing goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) that Smart Net Systems Ltd. failed to collect during the period in question. Remission is granted due to incorrect action on the part of the Canada Revenue Agency.
