AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS MARKETING ACT

Potatoes New Brunswick, formerly known as the New Brunswick Potato Agency, pursuant to sections 3 and 4 of the New Brunswick Potato Order footnote a, makes the annexed Order Amending the New Brunswick Potato Marketing Levies (Interprovincial and Export) Order No. 2.

Order Amending the New Brunswick Potato Marketing Levies (Interprovincial and Export) Order No. 2

Amendments

1 The definition producer in section 2 of the New Brunswick Potato Marketing Levies (Interprovincial and Export) Order — No. 2 footnote 1 is replaced by the following:

producer means a person who produces potatoes over at least four acres in any year. (producteur)

2 Section 4 of the Order is replaced by the following:

4 Every producer in the designated area shall pay to the Commodity Board a levy of $16.50 per acre used in the production of potatoes by the producer or on their behalf.

Repeal

3 The New Brunswick Potato Marketing Levies (Interprovincial and Export) Order footnote 2 is repealed.

Coming into Force

4 This Order comes into force on the day on which it is registered.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order establishes the levy rates to be paid by every producer engaged in the production of potatoes in New Brunswick in interprovincial and international trade.
