ARROWOOD INDEMNITY COMPANY, carrying on business in Canada as a branch under the name SECURITY INSURANCE COMPANY OF HARTFORD

RELEASE OF ASSETS

Pursuant to section 651 of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada) [the “Act”], notice is hereby given that Arrowood Indemnity Company, carrying on business in Canada as a branch under the name Security Insurance Company of Hartford (“SICH”), intends to apply to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada), on or after December 14, 2015, for an order authorizing the release of the assets that it maintains in Canada in accordance with the Act.

Any policyholder or creditor in respect of SICH's insurance business in Canada opposing that release is invited to file an opposition by mail to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada), Legislation and Approvals Division, 255 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2, or by email at approvalsandprecedents@osfi-bsif.gc.ca, on or before December 14, 2015.

ASSUMPTION REINSURANCE AGREEMENT

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to paragraph 587.1(2)(c) of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), that Groupama Gan Vie, carrying on business in Canada as a branch under the name GAN Assurances Vie Compagnie Française d'Assurances Vie Mixte (“GAN”), intends to make an application to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada), on or after December 7, 2015, for approval to cause itself to be reinsured, on an assumption basis, by L'Union-Vie, Compagnie Mutuelle D'Assurance, against all risks undertaken by GAN's Canadian branch in respect of its policies in Canada.

A copy of the proposed assumption reinsurance agreement and the report of the independent actuary will be available for inspection by the policyholders of GAN at GAN's chief agency located at 716-1010 Sherbrooke Street W., Montréal, Quebec H3A 3A8 during regular business hours for a period of 30 days following publication of this notice.

A copy of the proposed assumption reinsurance agreement and the report of the independent actuary will be provided to a policyholder upon written request.

XL INSURANCE COMPANY SE XL SPECIALTY INSURANCE COMPANY

ASSUMPTION REINSURANCE AGREEMENT

Notice is hereby given that the Canadian branch of XL Insurance Company SE (“XLICSE”), pursuant to section 587.1 of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), intends to make an application to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada) [the “Superintendent”] on or after December 8, 2015, for the Superintendent's approval to enter into an assumption reinsurance agreement (the “Assumption Reinsurance Agreement”) with XL Specialty Insurance Company (“XL Specialty”), under which XLICSE shall agree to cede to XL Specialty, and XL Specialty shall agree to reinsure, on an assumption basis, all of the insurance liabilities undertaken by XLICSE in respect of its policies in Canada, including all present and future obligations under such policies.

A copy of the proposed Assumption Reinsurance Agreement will be available for inspection by the policyholders of XLICSE during regular business hours at the office of the Chief Agent of the Canadian branch of XLICSE located at 100 Yonge Street, Suite 1200, Toronto, Ontario M5C 2W1 for a period of 30 days following publication of this notice. Any policyholder who wishes to obtain a copy of the Assumption Reinsurance Agreement may do so by writing to the Chief Agent of XLICSE at the above-noted address.
