APPLICATION TO ESTABLISH A CANADIAN BRANCH

Notice is hereby given that Arch Reinsurance Company, an entity incorporated and formed under the laws of Nebraska, United States of America, intends to file with the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, on or after August 20, 2013, an application under section 574 of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada) for an order approving the insuring in Canada risks, allowing it to conduct in Canada property and casualty reinsurance business, under the English name Arch Reinsurance Company and the French name Compagnie de réassurance Arch. In particular, Arch Reinsurance Company intends to provide in Canada treaty and facultative reinsurance of commercial and personal property and casualty coverage, including all risks property insurance, commercial and personal general liability insurance, management liability insurance, professional liability insurance, marine and aviation insurance, automobile insurance, accident and sickness insurance, crop and hail insurance, fidelity insurance, environmental liability insurance, surety insurance, political risk and credit insurance, credit protection insurance, legal expenses insurance, boiler and machinery insurance, and energy insurance. The head office of Arch Reinsurance Company is located in Morristown, New Jersey, and its Canadian chief agency will be located in Toronto, Ontario.
