APPLICATION TO ESTABLISH A BANK
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 25(2) of the Bank Act (Canada) [the “Act”], that Wealth One Canada Inc. (the “Applicant”) intends to apply to the Minister of Finance (Canada) [the “Minister”] for letters patent incorporating a Schedule 1 bank (the “Bank”).
Upon the grant by the Minister of letters patent and the issuance by the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada) of an order to commence and carry on business, the Bank will carry on business in Canada under the name of Wealth One Bank of Canada in English and Banque Wealth One du Canada in French. The head office of the Bank will be located in Toronto, Ontario. The Bank will provide consumer retail and commercial banking services to Canadians, including high net worth individuals and professionals from within the Canadian Chinese community. The promoters, developers and significant shareholders of the Bank will be Mr. Mao Hua Chen, Ms. Mingyan Liu, the Xian Family Trust, Mr. Yuansheng Ouyang and Ms. Guifang Zhu.
Any person who objects to the proposed incorporation may submit an objection in writing to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, 255 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2, on or before August 12, 2013.
