December 31, 2009
Dear Sir/Madam:
The Canada Gazette Directorate is pleased to introduce its new Director, Lyne Tassé, who joined the Directorate on November 30, 2009. Ms. Tassé arrives from the Department of Justice where she was Senior Counsel in the Legislative Services Branch. For the last nine years, she supervised teams that specialized in comparative law and bijuralism matters. Previously, she worked for the Policy Sector at Industry Canada, acting first as Senior Policy Analyst, and then as Senior Project Leader responsible of the Canada Business Corporations Act (CBCA) legislative reform. This reform led to the first major revision of the CBCA in 25 years and to the adoption of a bill in 2001 which included more than 300 amendments.
Ms. Tassé holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, as well as a Civil Law degree, both from the University of Ottawa and is a member of the Quebec Bar since 1994. Please join us in welcoming her to the Directorate.
Sincerely,
The Canada Gazette Directorate
